Shirley Joe Shipley, a cherished member of the Midwest City High School Class of 1953, has passed away. Shipley, a devoted alumna, died on September 13, 2024. Her passing was announced by Debbie Jenkins Trammell on a memorial page dedicated to deceased alumni of the school.
Shipley was known for her significant contributions to the Midwest City High School History Center, which she supported throughout her life. Her fellow alumni have expressed their condolences on social media, with Meredith Urice commenting, "So very sorry," and Chaniece Harkey noting, "Shirley was a lifelong Bomber—she contributed so much to the Midwest City High School History Center. Rest in peace, fellow Bomber."
