Sally Ballard Harrison, a beloved member of the Fayette, Alabama community, has passed away at the age of 92. Mrs. Harrison died on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care.
The funeral services are scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Harrison, originally from Kinder, Louisiana, was born on November 26, 1931. She was a dedicated seamstress and cherished caregiver, known for her unwavering determination and inspirational life. Her legacy includes her children David Wayne Harrison, Gregory Frank Harrison, and Rebecca Allison Johnson, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tributes have been flowing in from the community, reflecting her impact on those around her. Betty Frost remembered Mrs. Harrison as "a good Christian woman" and expressed how much she will be missed. Patricia Guin Brock also shared her condolences, recalling how she enjoyed visiting with Mrs. Harrison.
