Family Launches Fundraiser to Bring Johny White’s Ashes Home After His Sudden Passing in New York

Herriman, Utah – A fundraiser has been set up by Jessica Jensen to help bring the ashes of her uncle, Johny White, home after his sudden death during a trip to New York City. Johny White, 64, passed away after suffering a stroke or heart attack while on his way to Times Square, a destination on his bucket list.

Described as a man with a big heart who loved his children and grandchildren deeply, Johny was known for his generosity and sense of humor. His death has left his family struggling, both emotionally and financially, as they work to bring his remains back to Utah for a proper memorial.

The GoFundMe campaign, titled “Bring Johny White’s Ashes Home,” aims to raise $3,000 to cover the costs of transporting his ashes, purchasing urns, and organizing a celebration of life. As of Friday, September 13, 2024, the fundraiser has raised $40 from one anonymous donor.

Jessica Jensen, who organized the campaign, emphasized that all funds will go toward ensuring Johny’s ashes are brought home and that his family can properly honor his memory. The family is hoping for community support to help them reach their goal.

Those wishing to contribute to the campaign can find it under "Bring Johny White’s Ashes Home" on GoFundMe. Every donation, Jensen notes, brings the family closer to fulfilling Johny’s final journey home.
