Taylor, known for his role in the development of Youthpass and his long-standing involvement in various training initiatives, died following complications from a stroke.
According to social media tributes, Taylor suffered a stroke in June 2024 and fought bravely to recover, but the stroke struck again last week, leading to his passing. His son, Moritz Taylor, confirmed the news, expressing deep sadness over the loss of his father, describing him as a man filled with love, humor, and a penchant for Hawaiian shirts and ukulele strumming.
Tributes from colleagues and friends highlight Taylor’s warmth, intelligence, and dedication. "He was a clever, witty man who always asked thought-provoking questions instead of offering simple answers," shared a representative from SALTO Training & Cooperation, where Taylor was a long-term partner.
