Dyersburg Resident Delores Ayers Passes Away at 70, Family Seeks Support for Funeral Expenses

Dyersburg, Tennessee – The family of Delores Ayers, a longtime resident of Dyersburg, is mourning her passing after she died on September 9, 2024. She was 70 years old.

Delores was born on January 16, 1954, and was the sixth of seven siblings. Known for her unique and quirky personality that brought smiles to those around her, Delores had been living with significant health challenges. She had suffered three strokes in recent years, leaving her paralyzed on the right side. Since 2017, Delores had been under the care of her niece, Donna Hill.

Her family has launched a fundraiser to help cover her funeral expenses. The goal is to raise $2,500, and so far, $200 has been collected through four donations. Donna Hill, who is organizing the fundraiser, described Delores as an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who brought joy to everyone around her despite the difficulties she faced later in life.

The family is asking for the community’s support during this difficult time, both in prayers and financial assistance to help with the cost of the funeral.

Contributions can be made to the fundraiser organized by Donna Hill in Newbern, Tennessee.
