Doug Lindsey of Delton, MI, Dies in Alleged Accident, Memorial Service Planned at Battle Creek Motorcycle Club

Battle Creek, Michigan – Doug Lindsey, a cherished member of the Battle Creek community and president of the Battle Creek Motorcycle Club, tragically passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, following a deadly accident. Doug was a dedicated motocross racer and community leader, known for his deep involvement in motorsports and his significant contributions to the Battle Creek Motorcycle Club and D14 business in motocross, Hare Scrambles, and Sprint Enduro events.

Doug, born in Yucaipa, California, and raised in Delton, Michigan, played a pivotal role in shaping the Battle Creek Motorcycle Club during his 11 years as president. He was a beloved figure both within his professional sphere and personal life, remembered for his warmth, generosity, and devotion to his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Doug’s honor on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Battle Creek Motorcycle Club, with a service starting at 3 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bikes as a tribute, although no riding will take place during the event.

The motocross community, friends, and family are mourning Doug’s untimely death. On Facebook, many shared heartfelt tributes, remembering him as a loving husband, father, and friend. Nicole Lindsey, Doug’s wife, expressed her grief in a deeply emotional post: "Yesterday was the worst day of our entire life. We lost the most amazing husband, father, son, man, friend, and just best person in the whole world… The world is less bright without him in it."

Other tributes poured in from friends and family, including Walter James Cronk, who wrote, "So sorry for your family’s loss. Thoughts and prayers to all of you," and Jessica Hipskind, who added, "Omg Nicole Lindsey, I’m so so sorry for your family’s loss. If you need anything, even just a hug or a shoulder to cry on, girl, I’m here."

Monica Wallace also shared her sympathies, saying, "I am so very sorry for your loss, Nicole and family! You are all in my thoughts and prayers." The overwhelming support highlights how deeply Doug was loved by those who knew him.
