Dog Sports Community Mourns the Loss of Welsh Competitor Yvonne Davies

Yvonne Davies, a beloved figure in the world of dog sports, has sadly passed away, leaving a significant void in the hearts of many who knew her. Known for her kind and selfless nature, Yvonne was a key player in rally and obedience dog competitions, representing Wales multiple times at the prestigious Crufts inter-regional competitions.

Her passing was shared on social media by Tracey McGuirk, a close friend and former Rally Assistant Manager, who expressed deep sadness: "It is with a great sadness that I share with you the loss of Yvonne Davies. She was such a kind, good person who always put everyone before herself."

Yvonne’s dedication to the sport was evident in her recent achievement of a second-place finish in level 4 with her poodle, Ace. Tributes from the dog sports community have been pouring in. Hilary Warren commented, “So sad to hear this, she was a lovely person always so supportive, RIP.” Similarly, Robyn Leigh shared, “I’m so sad to hear this, she was such a lovely woman.”

Yvonne Davies will be remembered not only for her competitive success but also for her friendship, wisdom, and the impact she made on those around her.
