Denise Elaine Henry of Metairie, Louisiana Passes Away at 72, Leaving a Legacy of Love and Faith

Metairie, Louisiana – Denise Elaine Henry, a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, at the age of 72. Denise was known for her deep faith, compassionate spirit, and years of dedication to ministry and family. Born on November 29, 1951, she spent her life in Metairie, Louisiana, where she made a profound impact on countless lives through her ministry and teaching.

Denise graduated from Archbishop Chapelle High School and went on to earn a teaching degree from the University of New Orleans. However, her passion lay in ministry, where she served as a pastor for over two decades, particularly focusing on youth. Her kindness and creativity left an enduring influence on the young people she guided in their spiritual journeys.

Her compassion extended beyond the church. Denise was known for her warm heart and open arms, always offering support to those in need. Her smile and comforting words brought light to those around her, making her a beloved member of her community.

Denise leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Larry Robert Henry, and their five children—Jay, Greg, Patrick, Michelle, and Christie—as well as 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Gerry Ecuyer.

A visitation will be held at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Gospel Revolution Church.

Denise Elaine Henry will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
