Debbie Jean Crocker of Steele, Missouri Passes Away at Age 64

Debbie Jean Crocker, a resident of Steele, Missouri, passed away on September 15, 2024, in Caruthersville at the age of 64. She was born on January 11, 1960, in Hayti, Missouri, to Victor Crocker and Gertie Benfield Crocker.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Steele, with Pastor Danny Lacer officiating, assisted by Brother Cecil Riley. Visitation is scheduled to begin at 12:00 pm. Debbie will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John D. Crocker, and her sister Euveda “Doude” Wright. She is survived by her five sons: Stuart Chandler, Jr., Victor Chandler, Charles Chandler, Sammy Jo Chandler, and Phillip Chandler, along with nine siblings and a large extended family including nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Condolences poured in from friends and family on social media. “Sending love and prayers,” wrote Diane Adams. Howell Riggs simply shared, “RIP,” while Kathy Teeter and Mary Ann Barnard expressed their sorrow with messages of sympathy.

Debbie Crocker will be remembered for her loving spirit and the legacy she leaves behind among her family and friends.
