Airway Heights, Washington – Dashani Broomfield, a 21-year-old resident of Stevens County, tragically passed away in a motorcycle crash near Airway Heights on Tuesday night.
The Washington State Patrol reported that Broomfield was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Highway 2 when a westbound car attempted to make a left turn onto Brooks Road. The collision between the motorcycle and the car was devastating, and despite wearing a helmet, Broomfield was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the impact.
Authorities are still investigating the crash. While drugs and alcohol have not been ruled out, initial findings suggest that speed may have been a contributing factor. This incident serves as a somber reminder of the dangers that motorcyclists face, even when taking precautions like wearing protective gear.
