Danville, Kentucky – The community mourns the loss of Jade I. Pevley, a vibrant 14-year-old resident of Danville, who passed away peacefully at her home on September 10, 2024. Born on September 1, 2010, in Bardstown, Kentucky, Jade was the cherished daughter of Clinton DeForest Wandle and Jamie Lynn Pevley.
Jade was known for her bright spirit and kind heart, touching the lives of many around her. She was a freshman at Danville High School, where her enthusiasm for learning and dedication to her community stood out. Additionally, she was an active member of the New Beginnings Community Church, where she brought joy and inspiration to many.
Jade is survived by her brother, Clinton Charles Wandle of Danville; her sister, Ivy D. Wandle Shell of Stanford; her nephew, Kenneth Shell; her maternal grandparents, Ruth Cassidy and Gary Pevley of Springfield; and her paternal grandmother, Donna Wandle of Indiana. Jade’s extended family also includes her great-grandparents, Evangeline and Jimmie Coyle, and special grandparents, Buck and Sheila Hourigan, all of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield, starting at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the Bellevue Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. that same day at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will include Jimmie Coyle, Kaiden Vermilya, and Buck Hourigan, while Clinton Wandle, Daniel Shell, Jared Barnes, Chris Vermilya, Scott Hourigan, and Zack Tate will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Tourette Association of America in Jade’s memory, honoring her legacy of love and warmth shared with everyone around her.
