Gardena, California – On September 12, 2024, the community and family of Jose Ortega, affectionately known as Don Pepe, were struck by the sudden loss of a beloved figure due to heart complications.
Don Pepe was a cherished member of his family and an adored figure in his community. In response to this unexpected tragedy, Athziri Madrigal has initiated a fundraiser to cover funeral expenses. As of now, $305 has been raised towards the $30,000 goal, with contributions from several donors including Beatriz Ramos, Daniel Acevedo, Viviana Camargo, and Armando Razo.
