Colonel Robert E. Walker, a distinguished United States Air Force veteran who served for 29 years, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, in Kerrville, Texas. He was 91 years old and was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.

Colonel Walker, a veteran of two wars, was remembered for his strong moral compass and unwavering dedication to his country. His exemplary life and values were admired by many, and he served as a role model for both his family and community.

His son, John Walker, shared the sad news on social media, writing, "Dad proudly served 29 years in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of two wars. His strong moral compass and extraordinary values acted as a beacon to many and he set the example for us to follow."

Tributes poured in from friends and family, expressing their condolences and honoring Colonel Walker’s remarkable life. "It’s so tough when we lose a parent. Prayers for comfort during this difficult time," wrote Joyce Higgs, while Kimberly Heagy Leone added, "Prayers for your family. Amazing life."

Colonel Walker is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lou, along with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. Funeral arrangements are still pending.
