It is with deep sorrow that the family of Catrina Marie Ferrie announces her passing on August 31, 2024, at the age of 53. Catrina, born on October 3, 1970, was a cherished daughter of Heather and the late John Ferrie. Her early years were marked by a loving family, though she was predeceased by her sibling, Stephen-John, who passed away in infancy. Catrina later gained a half-sister, Debbie, whom she grew close to in adulthood.
A devoted mother to her son, Stephen, and a proud grandmother to her grandchildren—Lilleann, Camielee, and Hannahlee—Catrina’s life was deeply rooted in her love for her family. Her house-proud nature, devotion to her pets, and passion for music were well-known by those close to her. A lifelong fan of Celtic football, she remained committed to her family and friends throughout her life.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew her. "RIP Catrina, you were a character, I had the pleasure of supporting you," wrote Mary Clare, expressing the sadness felt by many.
