Calvin Hart Identified as Victim in Fatal Shooting Incident in Thomson, Georgia

Thomson, Georgia – Calvin Hart, a 39-year-old resident of Thomson, has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning. The tragic event took place at Hart’s residence, located on the 1200 block of Royal Street, near the Thomson Bypass.

Authorities were alerted to the shooting at approximately 5:14 a.m. on September 13, 2024. McDuffie County law enforcement and emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, Hart was pronounced dead shortly after 6 a.m.

The McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Region 7, is actively investigating the incident.
