England – Ashton Sycamore has organized a heartfelt fundraiser to cover the funeral expenses for her father, Brian Sycamore, who recently passed away. Despite not being Brian’s biological daughter, Ashton shared a deep bond with him after he married her mother when she was just two years old. He remained a loving and devoted father, gaining custody of Ashton and her siblings even after divorcing their mother.
Ashton shared her emotional story on the fundraiser page, explaining that the government has refused to provide financial assistance for the funeral, as they do not recognize her as Brian’s legal daughter. Left to cover thousands of pounds in expenses while on benefits, Ashton is appealing to the community for help during this difficult time.
The fundraiser, which aims to raise £4,650, has already received a total of £130 from three generous donors. Stephen Cage donated £100, Toni Tyrer contributed £20, and Rosemary Ward added £10.
Ashton emphasized that Brian had requested her to set up this fundraiser when he first became ill. Now, she faces the overwhelming burden of arranging his funeral within a short timeframe and is hoping for support from those who knew her father or anyone willing to help.
