Blythe Community Mourns Loss of Heidi Heckler, Support Sought for Cremation Costs

Blythe, CA – The community is mourning the passing of Heidi Heckler, a beloved member of Blythe known for her compassion and dedication to rescuing chihuahuas and caring for sick puppies. Heidi passed away on September 12, 2024, at 11:47 p.m. after a difficult six-month battle with a severe stomach infection.

Heidi was cherished not only by her family but by her neighbors, who frequently sought her advice and help. She was known for her generosity, always willing to assist others despite her own limited resources. Friends and family describe her as a loving grandmother, mother, and mother-in-law, who would give whatever she had to those in need.

Her daughter, Lindsay Heckler, has organized a fundraiser to cover Heidi’s cremation expenses, as she had no savings or life insurance to assist with the costs. As of now, $140 has been raised from four donations toward a $1,700 goal. Contributors include Emilio Rangel, Dianira Hamelberg, Karen Preston, and Jordan Luna.

The family is deeply grateful for the kind condolences and any support during this difficult time. Donations are still being accepted to help with the cremation costs.
