Birkenhead Venture Boxing Club Mourns the Loss of Ian Burns, Fundraiser Launched to Support Funeral Costs

Birkenhead, UK – The Birkenhead Venture Boxing Club is grieving the loss of one of its cherished members, Mr. Ian Burns, who passed away recently. Ian Burns, described as a true gentleman who would go out of his way to help others, was an integral part of the club and a beloved friend to many.

In the wake of this tragedy, the club and Ian’s friends are rallying together to support his family during their time of grief. A fundraiser, organized by Sean Trodden, has been launched to help cover the funeral expenses, and the community is encouraged to contribute to the cause. As of Tuesday, September 17, 2024, £815 has been raised out of a £7,000 goal, with 32 donations received so far.

The Birkenhead Venture Boxing Club expressed their deep sorrow at the loss of Ian, noting, "Ian, you will be sorely missed." The club has asked supporters to consider donating, saying this is the last thing they can do for a man who was always there for others.

Contributors to the fundraiser include Lisa Carrington, who made the first donation of £20, and Lee Siddorn, who offered the top donation of £100. Recent donations continue to come in, with Lee Lewis contributing £20.

The community’s outpouring of support highlights the impact Ian Burns had on those around him, and many are sharing the fundraiser to ensure his family receives the help they need in this difficult time.

The fundraiser remains open for donations, and all contributions are protected through the platform.
