Jean Ridenour, a cherished and active member of the St. Catharine Parish in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 88. Jean was known for her strong connection to the church and her love of golf, which she enjoyed with friends at Pine Hill Golf Course.
Born on April 11, 1936, Jean was a graduate of St. Mary of the Springs Academy and The Ohio State University. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hal Ridenour, as well as her parents George and Irene Doersam. Jean is survived by her children, Bruce and Suzanne, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her sister Nancy and sister-in-law Carol Ann.
St. Catharine of Siena Church offered heartfelt prayers, stating, "Eternal rest grant unto Jean, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her."
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, September 20, at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 21, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catharine Church, followed by a luncheon at the Monsignor Sorohan Parish Center.
