Beloved Sacramento Resident and Talented Musician Raul ‘Leto’ Lozano Passes Away After Short Battle with Cancer

Sacramento, CA – Raul ‘Leto’ Lozano, a beloved resident of Sacramento, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, following a brief and sudden battle with cancer. Lozano, born on July 14, 1958, was surrounded by his wife and children at the time of his passing.

Raul was widely known for his vibrant personality and immense talent. He was a gifted musician, playing the congas with his band, and was a familiar figure in the community, often seen cruising in his lowriders or on his motorcycle through the streets of Sacramento. Alongside his musical talents, he was a skilled fabricator and upholstery trimmer, well-regarded for his craftsmanship.

The Lozano family expressed their gratitude for the love and support they’ve received during this difficult time. In response to the outpouring of concern, his family has organized a GoFundMe campaign to assist with expenses. The fundraiser, created by Marlo Lozano, aims to raise $20,000 to help the family navigate the challenges they now face.

As of Thursday, September 12, 2024, the campaign has raised $1,050 from three generous donors. Contributions include $500 from both Ruben Olivarez and Arash Behi, and $50 from Steve Morrow. The Lozano family is deeply appreciative of the donations and is asking that the fundraiser be shared only among close family and friends.

Raul’s sudden loss has left a void in the hearts of many who knew him as a devoted husband, father, and friend. His legacy as a musician and craftsman will live on through the memories of those who cherished him.

The community continues to rally around the Lozano family in this time of mourning.
