Beloved Policeman and Community Hero Jacinto Duero Arones Sr. Passes Away, Leaving a Lasting Legacy in Cantilan

Jacinto Duero Arones Sr., a well-respected and dedicated policeman, passed away on September 6, 2024, leaving behind a deep legacy of service, kindness, and love in his community of Cantilan. Known for his unwavering dedication to his work and his generous spirit, Arones was cherished by many in his hometown of Carrascal.

His family announced his passing with heartfelt words, highlighting his impact on those around him: "He lived a life full of love, respect, kindness, and generosity," wrote Jovita Arones Day. His passing has left a significant void in the hearts of many who knew him as a family hero and community figure.

Novena prayers and memorial services have been organized nightly at 8:00 p.m. at the Day residence, Bon-ot, Carrascal, where his remains currently rest. The funeral Mass is scheduled for Sunday, September 15, at Immaculate Conception Parish in Cantilan, followed by his internment at Saint Joseph Cemetery on September 17.

Condolences have poured in from friends and family. "Rest in Peace, Sir Jacinto," wrote Arreza Pradas Alberto, remembering the warmth of Arones’ hospitality. Midwife RC FT OrtizBuniel also expressed her sorrow: "Rest in Peace, Tatay Cinto!"

Arones’ legacy as a policeman and a compassionate individual will remain deeply rooted in the community he served and loved.
