Beloved Caro Resident Mary Lee Garbacz Passes Away at Age 70

Mary Lee Garbacz, fondly known as "Nana" by her loved ones, passed away peacefully at her home in Caro, Michigan, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on August 6, 1954, in Caro, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Beverly (Goodall) Langmaid. Mary Lee was known for her kind heart and deep faith as a devoted member of the Caro Church of the Nazarene.

Mary Lee enjoyed the simple joys of life, including trips to the casino, listening to Elvis, and her love for professional wrestling. She also found great pleasure in nature, taking peaceful walks and watching cardinals. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who cherished her family deeply.

She is survived by her children, Jody Garbacz, Linda MacClemmons, and Marc Langmaid, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Caro Church of the Nazarene.

Tributes poured in from friends and family on social media. "Love you forever, Mary. You were such a great friend!" wrote Matuszak Marie Mariann. Betty Brief added, "Mary will be missed by all who knew her. She was a very caring and loving person."

Mary Lee’s warmth and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
