Peter Irving Nokes, a cherished former resident of Sedgefield, has passed away at the age of 88. Nokes, who died on September 4, was remembered fondly by his family and community. His funeral service is scheduled for September 18 at Durham Crematorium.
Nokes was a beloved husband to the late Liz and a treasured uncle to Belinda & Adrian, Helen, Michael, Emily & Jack. He was also a brother-in-law to Janet. Family flowers only are requested, with donations to The Alzheimer’s Society being accepted after the service.

The community has expressed their condolences and respect, noting Nokes’ significant impact on those around him.
