Avondale, Arizona – Christian A Valenzuela Payan, a 17-year-old resident of Avondale, tragically passed away on September 13, 2024, due to brain death. His sudden death has left his family and loved ones devastated, and they are now seeking financial support to cover the costs of his funeral services.

A GoFundMe fundraiser, organized by Christian’s aunt, Claudia Gutierrez, was created to help support the family during this difficult time. As of Monday, September 16, 2024, the fundraiser has raised $1,875 of its $15,000 goal, with donations from seven contributors. Notable donations include $1,000 from an anonymous donor and $500 from another.

Claudia Gutierrez expressed her deep gratitude for any contributions, stating that Christian’s parents are in need of help to cover the unexpected funeral expenses. She shared in the fundraiser, "Anything helps and will be greatly appreciated."

Christian’s passing at such a young age has deeply affected the community, and many are stepping forward to offer their support. Donations continue to come in, with individuals like Anna Beltran and Natalie Muñox contributing $150 and $50, respectively.
