Austin Causeway, Beloved Member of the Community, Passes Away Unexpectedly

Austin Causeway, a cherished soul known for his humor, kindness, and vibrant personality, passed away unexpectedly, leaving his family, friends, and the community in shock. Austin, who had been battling several chronic medical issues, was working towards improving his health when his sudden passing occurred on the night of September 11, 2024.

Family and friends are grappling with the loss, remembering Austin for his brilliant mind, kind heart, and playful spirit. His ability to make everyone laugh and feel welcomed will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Kristin Zinman, one of Austin’s close friends, shared her heartbreak on Facebook, writing, "I really have no words. Austin Causeway was family. Anyone that knew him knew what a positive light he was. Made everyone laugh and cared so much about his people… We lost a good one, and I still can’t believe this is real."

Other friends echoed similar sentiments. Heather Moran expressed, "It’s still so unreal," while Courtney Martin added, "My heart is just straight up broken." Haley Carter described the news as "heartbreaking."

Page Thomas also shared fond memories, stating, "He was always so welcoming and happy to see everyone. He will be missed, truly a one of a kind." Krissie Walker remarked on how Austin was like another son to her and how he will always be remembered fondly.

Austin’s family is working on final arrangements, which are expected to take place this weekend at JC Kirby, where loved ones can gather to celebrate his life and share their goodbyes. Though the grief is overwhelming, Austin’s legacy of laughter and joy will live on in the memories of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
