Anthony J. Piermani of Scott Township Dies at 74, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Love and Dedication

Scott Township, Pennsylvania – Anthony J. "Tony" Piermani Jr., a longtime resident of Scott Township and formerly of North Braddock, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at the age of 74. He succumbed to complications of pulmonary fibrosis, leaving behind a family that cherished him dearly.

Tony Piermani was a devoted family man, married to Lorraine (Metz) Piermani for 52 years. Together, they raised three children—Angela Comas, Carmen Piermani, and Maria Piermani—and were blessed with three grandchildren: Mason Stieler, Joe Comas, and Henry Comas. His love for his family was evident in every moment spent with them, and he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and "Poppi."

Tony also leaves behind his siblings, William, Frances, and John Piermani, and numerous nieces and nephews who adored him. His parents, Anthony J. Sr. and Rita (Barnes) Piermani, preceded him in death.

In addition to his family, Tony was known for his passion for yard work and masonry. His meticulous attention to detail and pride in his work exemplified the dedication and character for which he was beloved.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at William Slater II Funeral Service in Scott Township. A funeral mass will take place the following day, Friday, September 20, 2024, at 9:30 am at the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ Parish in Pittsburgh. Burial will be a private ceremony for family members.

His passing has elicited an outpouring of heartfelt condolences from family and friends on social media. Matt Piermani-Brace shared, "My uncle Tony passed away this morning from complications of pulmonary fibrosis. Please keep my family in your prayers at this time."

Other friends expressed their sympathies, including Sarah Raygoza, who wrote, "Our deepest sympathies, praying for the Lord to comfort during this difficult time," and Keri Kastner Mowry, who added, "I am so very sorry for your loss. Thinking about you all."

Armando Raygoza shared a simple, "Sorry for your loss bud," while Adele Kwiecinski added, "I’m so sorry for your loss! I’ll be praying for you and your family!"

Tony Piermani’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered not only for his dedication to his family and his craft but also for the values of love, faith, and commitment that he embodied throughout his life.
