Amy Lynn Edwards, Dedicated Social Worker, Passes Away Suddenly at Age 50

Amy Lynn Edwards, a beloved social worker and administrator at Central Valley Foster Care, Inc., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the age of 50. Known for her compassionate spirit and deep commitment to the well-being of children and families, Amy’s untimely death has left a profound void in her community.

Born on June 8, 1974, in Turlock, California, Amy was the daughter of Dale Edwards and Judy Armendariz. She graduated as the Salutatorian from Denair High School and went on to earn multiple degrees, including an Associate’s in Liberal Studies, a Bachelor’s in Human Development, and a Master’s in Social Work. Her career was dedicated to helping others, and for 18 years, she worked at the non-profit Central Valley Foster Care, Inc., making a significant impact on the lives of countless children.

Amy was cherished not only by her family but also by her friends and pets, whom she considered part of her family. Her love for animals was well known, and in her memory, donations to The Asher House, a non-profit animal sanctuary, have been requested in lieu of flowers.

She is survived by her parents, siblings, extended family, and many friends. A memorial service will be held on September 21, 2024, at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, California, to honor her memory.
