Wales – The family of Alun ‘Alf’ Roberts is mourning his tragic passing on Friday, August 30, 2024. His niece, Leah Roberts, has organized a fundraiser to assist with funeral expenses and to support Alf’s four children, Danielle, Kai, Elle, and Alfie, during this challenging time.
The family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and messages from friends and well-wishers. Many people have inquired about how they can contribute to the funeral costs. The family appreciates any donations, which will primarily cover the expenses of Alf’s funeral. Any remaining funds will be used to support his children.
This year has been particularly difficult for the family, as they also recently lost Alf’s mother, Lynne Roberts, in December 2023, and his grandfather, Ron Windos, in July 2024. The strain of organizing three funerals in just nine months has taken an emotional and financial toll on the family.
At the time of writing, the fundraiser has received £35 from three donations, with a goal of raising £1,000 to help cover the costs. Donors include Courtney Strange, who contributed £5; Julie Russell, who donated £10; and Martin and Annette Jones, who generously gave £20.
Leah Roberts, speaking on behalf of the family, expressed deep gratitude for the kind messages and donations. She noted how much it means to them during such a difficult period.
