72-Year-Old Sherwood Resident Robert Blomquist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 99

Sherwood, Oregon – Robert Blomquist, a 72-year-old resident of Sherwood, tragically passed away following a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99, just two miles north of Sherwood. The accident occurred on Wednesday morning when Blomquist’s vehicle crossed the median and lost control, resulting in a head-on collision with a box truck traveling northbound.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported that the box truck, after being hit by Blomquist’s vehicle, subsequently collided with a dump truck. While another individual involved in the crash sustained severe injuries, they are expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to investigators contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-629-0111, referencing case number 50-24-13419.
