The shooting occurred in the 400 block of Jones Village Lane, where Hicks lived. Dublin Police responded to a distress call at approximately 11:55 a.m., finding Hicks gravely wounded. He was rushed to Fairview Park Hospital but sadly passed away at 12:24 p.m. despite efforts to save him.
