21-Year-Old Keegan Patrick Schubert Passes Away, Leaving Family and Friends in Mourning

St. Louis, Missouri – Keegan Patrick Schubert, a beloved member of the community, passed away on September 6, 2024, at the young age of 21. Born on August 12, 2003, Keegan’s passing has deeply saddened his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Keegan, affectionately known as "Keegs," was a bright and loving young man known for his infectious smile and vibrant sense of humor. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose warmth and joy brought light to those around him. His sudden departure has left a void that words cannot fill.

An avid sports enthusiast, Keegan had a deep passion for basketball and soccer, playing for the Kolping Boys team for nine years under the guidance of Tony Schmitt and Darin Basler. His love for cars and dedication to physical fitness were also well-known, as he spent many hours working on his dream car and staying active through weightlifting.

Family members and friends remember Keegan for his devotion to his loved ones and his positive outlook on life. He was deeply committed to his family, particularly his nieces and nephews, who adored him. Keegan was on a promising career path, working alongside his friends, and his future was filled with potential.

Many in the community have expressed their grief and shared memories of Keegan. Kevin Byrne posted on Facebook, "Sad time for the Kolping Family as we lost Keegan ‘KEEGS’ Schubert. Keegs passed away and that is a young man lost way too soon. Please keep the Schubert family in your prayers." Sandy Marshall Wilbers also commented, "Oh my! He’s so young. So very sad."

Keegan is survived by his parents, Connie and Patrick Schubert, and his siblings, Amie Schubert, Anthony Schubert, JoAnna Geer, and Stacey Zaat. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Falynn, Ryder, Ava, Eli, Anna, and Benjamin.

A funeral service to honor Keegan’s life will be held at the Kutis South County Chapel on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. Visitation took place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Keegan’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
