18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Greyson Huff Dies in Tragic Crash at Brandon Intersection

Brandon, Mississippi – Greyson Huff, an 18-year-old resident of Brandon, has tragically lost his life following a motorcycle accident on Friday, September 13, 2024. The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 18 and West Sunset Drive around 4:30 p.m., when Huff’s 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Emergency services, including the Brandon Police Department and fire department, were quickly on the scene. Huff was transported to Merit Health Rankin by Pafford Ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause of the crash, and authorities have indicated that criminal charges are possible. However, the investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released.

Greyson Huff’s passing has left the Brandon community heartbroken, with friends and family mourning the loss of the young man with a promising future.

Several people shared their thoughts on Facebook about the tragic incident. Jennette Carver commented, “Rena just passed this scene and said the motorcycle looked really bad. That highway and intersection is so dangerous. Say a prayer for everyone involved.” Carver later added, “The young teen passed away… pray extra for his family.”

The Brandon Police Department urges anyone with additional information about the crash to come forward as they continue their investigation. Traffic delays and lane closures in the area were also reported following the incident, as authorities worked to clear the scene and begin their inquiry into the cause of the accident.

Greyson Huff’s death highlights the dangers that motorcyclists face on the road, and this incident serves as a reminder to exercise caution, especially at busy intersections.
